Amanda Behnen, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with a passion for general and surgical dermatology, including the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of conditions including acne, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, and more. She enjoys helping her patients feel like their best selves. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) – BS, Human Development and Family Studies (summa cum laude)
- University of Alabama at Birmingham (Birmingham, AL) – MS, Master of Physician Assistant Studies
During her training, Amanda received many honors and awards, including the University of Alabama Presidential Scholarship, the Dorothy Sullivan Jevne Scholarship, and induction into Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. She is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and a member of the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants.
In addition to dermatology, Amanda’s clinical experience includes providing care in pediatrics, family medicine, general surgery, and oncology services, to name a few.
In her spare time, Amanda and her husband, Jeremy, enjoy attending almost any St. Louis sporting event. They enjoy playing sand volleyball and softball with friends. She is obsessed with their doodle, Dixie. She is also an active member of the UA Alumni Chapter in St. Louis, previously serving as co-president, and is known to visit Tuscaloosa to cheer on the Tide whenever she gets the chance.
